products of awesomeness....

one of the most common questions i am asked by my friends, family, and clients is what are my favorite products.

i have many favorites. i could be the poster child for any product i love, as i can go on and on for hours about my love for said product(s).

today, i'd like to share my two favorite staples in my makeup bag --

M.A.C. Viva Glam V lip glass

this gloss has a rose tint and gold pigment in it. it looks good on everybody, and it's my favorite daily lip color. i've often shared with clients that this particular color is great with a lip pencil and your favorite lipstick, but it's also terrific on a sunday trip to the market for bagels with your favorite large sunglasses. (the east coast girl in me always refers to the sunday trip out for bagels and coffee - something i have done less than 5 times in the 12+ years i've lived in L.A.)

Nars Blush Orgasm

okay, if you are slightly embarrassed by the name of this beautiful cheek color, relax, ladies. you may purchase it online.
and really, you must purchase this blush. it has been featured in just about every beauty magazine you can think of, and has been voted one of the best beauty products on the market. like Viva Glam V lip glass, this blush looks amazing on everybody. this peachy pink color with gold shimmer warms up your face like magic.

these two items combined, make a lady look well rested and youthful.

and you won't catch me without either.

I worked on a shoot with hairstylist Anne Ott and photographer Jeff Linnett on some images for a hairstyling product company. Models, Sarah and Mary.

in response to constructive criticism

an individual who stumbled upon my blog recently pointed out that I do not update frequently.

this is a valid point, and one I'd like to correct.

if I don't have awesome images to share, I'll review a product. if there is one thing certain in this lifetime, I am without a doubt a product junkie. stay tuned for some reviews of body products.....

Makeup business is slowly but surely picking up. Word of mouth is a powerful tool, and particularly in my case. I rely on my clients to refer me to other ladies they know.

I try to get out at least twice month to events where I can network and meet other artists who may be interested in my services.

The most recent picture is of one of my favorite young laides, Ashley. I did her makeup for Homecoming.

I've known Ashley since she was a pre-teen and feel honored to be a part of her life.

She is more than a pretty face -- she is a very talented athelete, sweet, funny, a great student, kind sister, awesome daughter, and like I said, I'm happy to be on the sidelines watching her grow up to be an awesome lady.

Halloween makeup

So my adorable client wanted to look mean and scary. I could only do so much!

The year in review, and then some....

I've neglected my beauty blog, and so in the time that I've neglected, I will review quickly:

I fell in love, I did a ton of makeup, made new friends, fell out of love, had fun, traveled, collected some more tattoos, and smiled in the sunshine.

I'd say it's been a good year.

I find myself saying, "I don't have time for ____" often, but that phrase rarely ends with friends. or makeup.

I love my clients, and I love products more and more daily.

I invested in a nice curling iron, but I still rely on the experts to make my hair beautiful.

I'm about to update with some images of some of my clients for the future clients to peep at.

I look forward to hearing from all of you, and can't wait to make you look your best!
